About us: Launched in 2020, Gritty In Pink is a dynamic platform advocating for gender equity in the music industry. Starting as a live event series, it quickly pivoted to a virtual format during the pandemic, hosting over 200 female musicians in online fundraisers. Gritty In Pink has evolved into a comprehensive initiative with the INPINK marketplace, connecting female and gender-expansive music industry professionals with employment opportunities.

Who Are You?
The Event Production Intern will support the planning, coordination, and execution of Gritty In Pink events. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about live events, logistics, and creative production. The intern will gain hands-on experience in event operations, vendor coordination, and on-site execution. If you're a go-getter who loves networking, problem-solving, and making an impact in the music industry, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and permits.
- Help with research and outreach for potential sponsors, partners, and performers.
- Support in creating event timelines, production schedules, and run-of-show documents.
- Assist in managing guest lists, RSVPs, and ticketing platforms.
- Help with marketing efforts, including social media promotions and email campaigns.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including staging, sound, and lighting coordination.
- Help manage check-in, guest experience, and crowd control.
- Support backstage operations, ensuring performers, speakers, and vendors are prepared.
- Troubleshoot any on-site production issues under the supervision of event staff.
- Capture event content (photos/videos) for social media and internal use.
- Help gather feedback from attendees, vendors, and staff for future improvements.
- Organize event assets and documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
- Passion for live events, music, entertainment, or experiential marketing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of event production, AV equipment, or social media is a plus.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Subsidy Role Information
Subsidy roles require students to have an Los Angeles County based address, and be between the ages of 16-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):
- Identification (School or State ID)
- Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed)
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name)
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption
- Work Permit (Required for Youth between the ages of 16-17 only)
- The Youth Center (AJCC) WILL BE PAYING YOU for 160 completed hours.
- You will be required to submit Timesheets to your YOUTH CENTER (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.
*NOTE IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY POSITION (ACADEMY/INTERNSHIP). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR SUBSIDY ROLES UNTIL JULY 2025*
