Spring 2027 Rising Internship Program — Technical Track

Software Engineering · Cybersecurity · IT · AI

Paid · 12 Weeks · Los Angeles County · Starting February 2027

Real Work. Real Mentors. A supportive pathway into tech, right here in LA.

If you're 18-24, based in Los Angeles County, and ready to build your future in tech, this is for you.

The Rising Internship Program - Technical Track is a paid, 12-week experience where you'll work on meaningful projects alongside industry professionals in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT, and AI. You don't need a degree. You don't need to have it all figured out. You need curiosity, commitment, and a drive to grow.

This cohort has a high concentration in AI, meaning you'll develop foundational skills in artificial intelligence alongside your core technical track.

What Interns Get

  • Hands-on project work: Most of your time is spent doing real work on real projects, not sitting through lectures.
  • 1-on-1 mentorship: Get matched with a tech professional who's been in your shoes and can help you figure out your next move.
  • A credential that opens doors: Earn credit toward a U.S. Department of Labor-recognized pre-apprenticeship in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, AI Prompt Engineering, or Project Management. This signals to employers that you're ready for what's next.
  • Interview practice: Sharpen your pitch and walk into your next opportunity with confidence.
  • Industry drop-ins: Tech professionals share what it actually takes to build a career in the field.
  • Career workshops: Learn to tell your story, build your personal brand, and show up strong on LinkedIn and beyond.
  • A supportive peer network across LA: The connections you make here are built to last. This is huge!

Why LA-Tech.org?

Breaking into tech is hard, especially when you're doing it without a roadmap or a network. LA-Tech.org exists to change that. We connect LA's untapped talent with the tech community because we believe the access gap, not a skills gap, is what holds most people back. If you're ready to put in the work, we'll be with you every step of the way. You belong in tech. Let's build that path together.
