Social Media & Creative Intern

About Flip4Good

Flip4Good is a nonprofit that uses interior design as a behavioral health intervention to support vulnerable populations rebuilding after incarceration, domestic violence, trafficking, and deep housing insecurity. We work inside transitional housing facilities to transform temporary units into stable, sensory-conscious environments that support healing and forward movement. We do this by adjusting lighting, choosing calming paint colors, and selecting furniture that makes the space feel grounded and functional. Every element is chosen to reduce stress and make daily life easier for the resident.

We lead the full redesign process—from space assessments and design plans to sourcing, volunteer build days, and final installation. Each project is built in partnership with a housing provider and shaped by the needs of the individuals and families who will live there.

Our work is rooted in behavioral health research and driven by a belief that physical environments matter. A well-designed space won’t solve everything, but it can create the conditions for healing, safety, and daily stability.

About the Role:

Flip4Good produces a steady flow of visual content for social platforms, presentations, workshops, events, and internal materials. This role supports that work by turning ideas, outlines, and copy into finished assets. You will help bring concepts to life through clean design, consistent formatting, and thoughtful execution in Canva.

You will report directly to the Founder + Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the small team to prepare graphics, organize design files, and support the production of creative materials across multiple projects. You won’t be responsible for social strategy or messaging, but your work will shape how our content shows up day to day.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys design, visual detail, and likes the process of turning content into polished, usable assets. There will be space to contribute ideas, and the core of the role is steady, reliable creative execution that helps the team move faster and stay organized.

What will you do:

  • Turn provided copy, content outlines, and concepts into finished social media posts
  • Create visual assets for social platforms using Canva and Flip4Good’s brand elements
  • Design graphics for presentations, workshops, and internal materials
  • Resize, format, and prepare images and videos for different platforms
  • Draft first-pass layouts for carousels, simple illustrations, or infographics based on direction
  • Assist with organizing and updating our content library and design files
  • Prepare assets for scheduled posts (you will not own the social strategy)
  • Contribute ideas for visual approaches, formats, or concepts when helpful
  • Review past content and identify patterns to support smoother production workflows
  • Maintain a log of completed work, drafts, and project notes
  • Stay aware of platform-specific best practices so assets are optimized

What should you have:

  • Strong eye for layout, color, and visual clarity
  • Advanced comfort with Canva (preferred primary tool)
  • Ability to follow direction closely and translate feedback into revisions
  • Interest in creating content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to organize files and maintain clean working folders
  • Curiosity, reliability, and follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Openness to trying new ideas while staying within provided guidelines
  • Ability to work calmly and steadily when timelines are tight
