About the Role
We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Employer Partnership & Sales Support Intern to help
us secure 5 paying employer partners by September 2026. You'll support our CEO in building
relationships with health systems, community-based organizations, health plans, and public
health agencies who want to hire trusted CHWs and Doulas.
This role is perfect for someone interested in healthcare innovation, B2B partnerships, and
mission-driven sales who wants hands-on experience building revenue pipelines for an
early-stage startup.
What You'll Do:
Partnership Research & Outreach (40%)
- Research and build target lists of potential employer partners (health systems, CBOs, health plans, public health departments—especially in CalAIM markets)
- Identify key decision-makers (HR directors, workforce development leads, community health managers)
- Draft personalized outreach emails and LinkedIn messages
- Conduct initial cold outreach via email and phone
- Track outreach activities and response rates in CRM
Sales Pipeline Support (30%)
- Schedule partnership meetings and product demos for CEO
- Maintain and update partnership pipeline tracker
- Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and one-pagers
- Follow up with prospects after initial conversations
- Coordinate pilot onboarding logistics with new partners
Market Intelligence & Materials Development (20%)
- Research competitor platforms and market trends in CHW/Doula hiring
- Create case studies and testimonials from early adopters
- Draft partnership proposals and ROI calculators
- Support the development of sales collateral and pitch decks
- Attend industry webinars and report key insights
Internal Coordination (10%)
- Coordinate with CTO and Chief Community Impact Officer on partnership needs
- Document partnership feedback and feature requests
- Support grant applications and partnership documentation
- Contribute to quarterly partnership reports
What You Should Have:
Required:
- Strong interest in healthcare, workforce development, or health equity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with outreach, networking, and professional relationship-building
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Preferred (but not required):
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience with B2B sales, partnerships, or business development
- Knowledge of Medicaid, CalAIM, or value-based care models
- Exposure to healthcare workforce challenges or CHW/Doula ecosystems
- Familiarity with Asana, Slack, or project management tools
- Comfort with data analysis and creating simple reports
