Customer Experience Intern

Dolphin U is building something bigger than swim lessons. We’re on a mission to create safer communities by teaching life-saving water skills, building confidence in kids, and expanding access.

Every class we run has a purpose behind it. Whether you’re on deck teaching, supporting operations in our workspace, or leading a team—your role directly impacts the experience we create and the mission we move forward.


We’re looking for a driven, people-first team member to join our Customer Experience team and help families take the first step into Dolphin U.


This role is at the center of our growth. You’ll connect with prospective families, guide them through our programs, and confidently enroll them into the right classes—ensuring every interaction reflects the care, clarity, and energy that define our brand. You are not just selling lessons—you are helping families say “yes” to water safety, confidence, and opportunity for their child.


What You’ll Do

  • Connect with new and returning families via phone, text, and email
  • Guide families through our program offerings and recommend the best fit
  • Confidently convert inquiries into enrollments
  • Follow up with leads and maintain consistent communication
  • Support families through the registration and onboarding process
  • Accurately manage customer information, enrollments, and payment details

What You Should Have

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or enrollment-based roles
  • Confidence in closing and asking for the commitment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build trust quickly with families and guide decision-making
  • High level of organization and follow-through
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A positive, energetic presence on every call and interaction
  • Reliability—showing up on time, prepared, and ready to perform
  • Basic comfort with CRM systems, scheduling tools, and payment processing


More Details 

  • Location: Hybrid (75% remote, 25% in office located in Century City)
  • Pay: $17.78/Intern
  • Start date: June 2026
  • Hours per week: 20-30 hours a week
  • Duration: 12-14 weeks

LA County Subsidy Eligible Position Information 

Subsidy roles require students to have an LA County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):

  • Identification (School or State ID).
  • Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed).
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name).
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption.
  • The Youth Center (AJCC) will be paying you for 160 completed hours.
  • You will be required to submit timesheets to your youth center (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.



NOTE: IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER SUBSIDY ELIGIBLE POSITION UNTIL JULY 1ST.
