Ballinger | Leafblad is honored to partner with the Jones Family Foundation on the search for its next Executive Director.

Since 1988, the Jones Family Foundation has grown from a single donor-advised fund into a philanthropic institution with more than $14 million in invested assets, investing in education, economic vitality, and arts & culture across the Red Wing, Minnesota area. As founders Scott and Anne Jones begin to step back, the Foundation's next Executive Director will be a true partner to them and the Board — a bold, relational leader who can codify decades of institutional knowledge into a foundation built to thrive for the long term.

This is an in-office role based in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Executive Director is expected to live within approximately 30 miles of the community.

Qualifications

• At least 8–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including staff leadership
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning for an organization of comparable scale
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to boards, community members, and media
• Direct nonprofit or philanthropic experience, including familiarity with grantmaking practices, processes, and policy
• Board service experience, in addition to staff leadership (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic plans that increase an organization's impact and effectiveness (preferred)
• Experience working effectively in and with diverse communities (preferred)
• A track record of collaborative leadership that surfaces new ideas and turns them into action (preferred)

Compensation: The salary for this position is $155,000, with a relocation package available for candidates relocating to the Red Wing area. More details in the position profile..
