Ballinger | Leafblad is honored to partner with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation on the search for its next President.

The UW-Eau Claire Foundation is the philanthropic engine behind a university consistently ranked among the top ten public institutions in the Midwest. The next President will serve as the Foundation's chief executive and primary ambassador during this pivotal moment, as UW-Eau Claire prepares for its next two decades under new Chancellor Edwin Martini and a forthcoming twenty-year campus master plan.

This is a compelling opportunity to lead a comprehensive campaign to support the University's long-range priorities, personally cultivate and steward a focused portfolio of principal gift donors, stand alongside the Chancellor with the University's most significant donors, and provide steady, high-EQ leadership for the Foundation team and its 27-member board.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated success in a leadership position at a complex nonprofit or business entity.
  • Demonstrated success building strategic partnerships to further an institutional mission.
  • Business and financial management experience, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Experience leading strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Experience working with a university or related foundation preferred.
  • Familiarity with UW-Eau Claire, the Chippewa Valley, and Wisconsin, or a strong desire to engage with the region and university community, preferred.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and foundation best practices, and the ability to leverage technology, data, and CRM systems to support decision-making, preferred.

Compensation: $185,000-$215,000. More details in the full position profile.
