SAP S/4HANA Test Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Test Developer to support a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SAP S/4HANA implementation operating within an Agile SAFe framework.

The Test Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive test assets across SAP business processes, configurations, integrations, security, data conversions, and connected systems. This role will work closely with government stakeholders, system integrators, functional and technical SMEs, interface teams, security personnel, and the Government UAT Lead to ensure system quality, business-process validation, and release readiness.

An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute test assets for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Translate business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications into:
• Test scenarios
• Test cases
• Test scripts
• Test procedures
• Test data
• Develop and execute testing across:
• Functional and technical processes
• SAP configuration
• Security and authorization
• SAP Fiori applications
• Integrations and interfaces
• Data conversions and migrations
• Negative testing
• Regression testing
• Exploratory testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• End-to-end business processes
• Maintain requirements and test traceability through the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Execute test cases and document test results, evidence, and outcomes.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Participate in defect triage sessions, root-cause analysis, and prioritization.
• Analyze failed test cases and collaborate with functional and technical teams to identify corrective actions.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing following system fixes or configuration changes.
• Support UAT planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
• Help establish and validate test entrance and exit criteria.
• Collect and maintain test evidence required for government and program-level reporting.
• Support production-readiness assessments and release-readiness activities.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and system integrators to validate:
• System designs
• SAP configurations
• Business processes
• Interfaces
• Security controls
• Data conversion results
• Integrated-system functionality
• Participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies and contribute to testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate testing status, risks, issues, defects, and release readiness to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance — required.
• Experience testing SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience developing and executing SAP test cases, scripts, scenarios, and procedures.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and integrated enterprise systems.
• Experience with requirements traceability and maintaining an RTM.
• Experience with defect management, defect triage, retesting, and regression testing.
• Experience supporting UAT and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, system integrators, technical teams, functional SMEs, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or other federal SAP implementations.
• Experience with SAP Fiori testing.
• Experience testing SAP integrations, interfaces, and external systems.
• Experience with SAP data migration or conversion testing.
• Experience with SAP security and authorization testing.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise ERP implementations.
• SAFe, Agile, or related certifications.

Testing Scope

The successful candidate will support testing across the full SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, including:

Requirements → Test Design → Test Execution → Defect Management → Retesting → Regression → UAT → Release Readiness → Production Readiness
