Role Overview

We are hiring an SAP Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise SAP environments across hybrid cloud and on-premises platforms on the Navy ERP program under the NETSS2 contract. This role is responsible for the stability, performance, security, and availability of SAP infrastructure — from compute and storage to networking, virtualization, and cloud operations.

You're comfortable in Linux, you've worked with SAP HANA infrastructure before, and you know how to keep hybrid cloud environments running cleanly. You work proactively, automate what can be automated, and treat documentation as part of the job — not an afterthought. When something breaks in production, you're the person others want on the call.

What You Will Deliver

• SAP infrastructure kept stable, performant, and available across compute, storage, OS, networking, and virtualization layers in a hybrid cloud environment
• SAP-certified infrastructure provisioned, configured, and maintained on AWS, Azure, or GCP — sized correctly, patched on schedule, and optimized for SAP S/4HANA and HANA workloads
• High-availability and disaster recovery solutions supported end-to-end — backup management, failover readiness, replication monitoring, and recovery testing that actually gets done
• Platform health, capacity, and performance monitored proactively with enterprise tooling, with issues surfaced before they become incidents
• Infrastructure provisioning and operational processes automated through scripting and standardized deployment methodologies that reduce manual effort and human error
• Cybersecurity controls implemented and maintained — OS hardening, identity integrations, and compliance requirements met for SAP environments in a DoD context
• SAP BTP, cloud integrations, and hybrid connectivity requirements supported where infrastructure dependencies exist
• Incident response handled with urgency and root cause analysis documented so the same issue doesn't happen twice
• Operational documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs maintained and kept current

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
• 3+ years of experience supporting SAP infrastructure including SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, or related platforms
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform — AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
• Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, SUSE, or similar)
• Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware or cloud-native virtualization
• Knowledge of SAP HANA infrastructure requirements, performance optimization, and capacity planning
• Experience supporting backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong understanding of networking — DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, automation, and scripting tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Active Tier 3 (Secret) clearance — mandatory at time of hire
• U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship)

• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Linux+

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP environments in federal, government, or highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, and SAP integration technologies
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards — NIST, STIG, FedRAMP, or ISO 27001
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP modernization or cloud migration initiatives
