Role Overview

We are hiring multiple SAP Data Migration SMEs to support the data migration workstream on Navy ERP+ — a large-scale business transformation program migrating the U.S. Navy from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. This is not an infrastructure engagement; it's a full business transformation covering financial management, supply chain, procurement, human resources, logistics, and asset management across Navy operations.

We have 10 open seats across several process areas, with immediate openings in Order to Cash, Hire to Retire, and Plan to Stock, and near-term openings across additional areas including FI/CO, Procurement, Grants Management, and Asset Management.

Each SME will own hands-on data migration work within their area of expertise — profiling legacy SAP ECC source data, cleaning and standardizing it, building mapping inputs for the S/4HANA target, supporting conversion activities, and validating that what landed in the new system is accurate and complete.

You don't need to cover every process area — you need to be deep in at least one, with the data migration discipline to back it up. Functional SAP experience in your area is a strong plus, but solid migration execution experience comes first.

What You Will Deliver

• Legacy SAP ECC source data profiled thoroughly — quality issues, gaps, and anomalies identified and documented before they become conversion problems in S/4HANA
• Data cleansing and standardization rules defined and applied so what enters S/4HANA is clean, consistent, and aligned with Navy data governance standards
• Mapping inputs built and maintained between SAP ECC legacy structures and SAP S/4HANA target objects, kept current through design changes
• Conversion support provided to technical teams so LSMW, BAPI, or Migration Cockpit loads run correctly the first time — or failures are diagnosed and resolved quickly
• Pre-load and post-load validation executed rigorously, with reconciliation reports that confirm record counts, key values, and financial totals match expectations
• Data migration issues documented clearly and escalated with enough detail that functional and technical teams can act without coming back for more information

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience in one or more of the process areas listed above
• Experience migrating data within SAP environments — profiling, cleansing, mapping, conversion support, and pre/post-load validation
• Familiarity with SAP data migration tools — LSMW, BAPI, SAP Data Migration Cockpit, or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and data quality discipline — you catch issues others miss
• Ability to work independently within a large, cross-functional migration workstream
• Active Tier 3 (Secret) clearance — mandatory at time of hire
• U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional SAP experience in your process area (FI, CO, MM, SD, HCM, FM, GM, or AA)
• Direct experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects
• Experience on DoD or federal government ERP transformation programs
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA data structures and migration-specific considerations
• Knowledge of Navy ERP, DAI, GCSS-Army, or other DoD ERP legacy source systems
• Experience with SAP Activate data migration methodology
• Experience with data reconciliation reporting and cutover readiness sign-off processes
