Job Title: UiPath Business Analyst
Department: Automation Services / Digital Transformation
Work Model: Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking a UiPath Business Analyst to support automation initiatives in a government environment. This role goes beyond process mapping—you will bridge automation, SAP, and audit requirements, ensuring that UiPath solutions are built on solid business logic, compliant processes, and enterprise system realities. This is a senior-level role requiring strong systems thinking, stakeholder credibility, and hands-on experience in RPA programs.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Discovery
- Lead process discovery sessions with business and government stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
- Perform system- and process-level assessments, including feasibility and risk analysis.
- Document as-is and to-be processes using BPMN, Visio, or equivalent tools, with attention to audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for RPA solutions.
- Translate business, SAP, and audit requirements into clear user stories and process definition documents for UiPath developers.
- Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and aligned with government standards.
Stakeholder & Program Support
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, SAP teams, auditors, and RPA developers.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs to validate requirements and solution alignment.
- Support governance, reviews, and documentation expected in regulated environments.
Solution Design Support
- Collaborate with solution architects and developers to design scalable UiPath automations.
- Provide business and system context during design reviews, especially for SAP and Document Understanding (DU) components.
- Ensure solutions align with audit controls and data integrity requirements.
Testing, Validation & Audit Support
- Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Support UAT and validate that automations meet business, SAP, and audit requirements.
- Assist with audit documentation and traceability as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor deployed automations and identify optimization opportunities.
- Stay current on UiPath capabilities, DU/OCR improvements, and automation best practices in government environments.
Required Qualifications
-
3+ years of Business Analyst experience, including 3+ years supporting UiPath/RPA initiatives.
- Strong systems and process BA experience (not just functional BA work).
- Prior government experience (any level).
-
SAP experience required (process analysis, integration, or system interaction).
-
1+ year of Document Understanding (DU), OCR, or data extraction experience.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications
- UiPath Business Analyst Foundation or related RPA certification.
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, or financial processes.
- Exposure to process mining or data analysis tools (e.g., Celonis, Power BI).
- Familiarity with regulated or secure IT environments.
