Account Manager — Power Generation | Western US
Are you a technically savvy sales professional with deep roots in the power generation industry and a track record of building meaningful client relationships? We're working with a growing industrial technology company seeking a driven Account Manager to own and expand a portfolio of accounts across the Western United States — with a strong focus on the power generation market, including utilities, independent power producers, and generation facility operators.
This is a remote, high-autonomy role with uncapped earning potential and a clear path to making a real impact in a company that's actively expanding its reach in one of today's most critical infrastructure sectors.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
• Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA with employer contributions, and 401(k) with match
• Remote flexibility — work from home with travel to client sites and industry events
• Anticipate around 25% travel
• A collaborative, cross-functional team that backs you up and helps you win
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You'll own a book of business across the Western US, with a primary focus on power generation accounts — utilities, independent power producers, and combined-cycle, coal, nuclear, and renewable generation facilities. You'll build relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations, from plant engineers and maintenance leadership to procurement and executive decision-makers. You'll uncover needs tied to generation asset reliability and performance, align solutions, and close business. You'll manage a multi-quarter pipeline, provide accurate forecasting to leadership, coordinate internal resources to ensure customer success, and stay sharp on the trends shaping the power generation industry — from grid modernization and decarbonization to rising demand driven by data centers and electrification. You're not just selling — you're solving.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years in direct technical sales or account management in the power generation industry or a related industrial environment
• Experience selling into utilities, independent power producers, or power plants (combined-cycle, coal, nuclear, or renewables), or adjacent markets such as oil & gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial
• Proficiency with Salesforce and the full MS Office suite
• Comfortable with a commission-based comp structure and motivated by performance
• Located west of the Mississippi River, within reasonable distance of a major airport
• Strong communicator, highly organized, and able to work autonomously
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or business is a plus, as is prior remote sales experience.
