Construction Sales & Production Manager
Our Client is seeking a Roofing Sales & Production Manager to lead and scale a high-performing roofing division across Eastern Iowa.
This role owns the entire roofing lifecycle — from lead generation and estimating to production execution and final project completion.
This is a leadership seat responsible for revenue growth, margin protection, operational execution, and team development.
The right leader will bring strong construction industry experience, disciplined operational thinking, and the ability to drive both sales performance and production accountability.
What You’ll Own
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead and manage the roofing sales team across multiple markets
- Establish clear production expectations and performance standards
- Conduct structured weekly sales meetings and pipeline reviews
- Improve close rates and increase average job size
- Expand market share across Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and Des Moines
Revenue Target: $8M–$10M annually
Margin Protection & Pricing Discipline
- Review and approve project estimates before submission
- Ensure Xactimate scopes align with internal cost structure
- Monitor projected vs. actual project margins
- Enforce disciplined pricing strategy
Production Oversight & Operational Execution
- Oversee the transition from sales to production
- Monitor crew capacity and scheduling
- Prevent overselling beyond operational capacity
- Reduce callbacks and quality issues
- Ensure consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
Team Development & Culture
- Coach team members to improve performance and production levels
- Address underperformance with clear expectations and accountability
- Build a disciplined, performance-driven culture
- Reinforce ethical standards and professionalism
- Lead with calm, confident decision-making during high-pressure periods
