Founded in San Antonio in 1969, Endeavors has spent more than five decades providing relief and support to vulnerable populations across the nation, guided by a vision of serving others and changing lives. Today, its work spans mental health and wellness, rapid response and shelter, case management, supportive services, and programs serving Veterans, military families, individuals experiencing homelessness, and communities impacted by crisis and disaster.

Endeavors has grown into a complex and multifaceted organization with a broad geographic footprint and a diverse portfolio of programs and services. With approximately 1,800 employees working across the country, the organization is supported by a close-knit, committed team with a strong focus on its people and mission.

Position Summary: Chief Communications Officer

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Communications Officer will serve as a trusted advisor and key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic counsel on communications, public perception, organizational reputation, and crisis response. As Endeavors continues to evolve within an increasingly complex external environment, the CCO will strengthen organizational alignment, shape a clear and cohesive narrative across the organization's diverse programs, and ensure Endeavors' mission and impact are communicated with clarity, credibility, and purpose to employees, partners, policymakers, media, and the communities it serves.

The CCO will lead an integrated communications and marketing strategy designed to strengthen Endeavors' voice, elevate its brand, and increase understanding of its work. Leading a multidisciplinary communications function, the CCO will oversee the Director of Marketing, Director of Communications, and Director of Advancement & Impact, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to ensure these functions operate cohesively in support of Endeavors' mission and organizational priorities.

Location, Compensation and Benefits

This position is based in San Antonio, Texas, although remote arrangements may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Endeavors maintains a flexible work arrangement policy, with individual program leaders determining the appropriate structure for their teams based on organizational and programmatic needs.

The salary range for this position is $250,000 to $300,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a competitive benefits package.
