Organizational Overview: Hispanics In Philanthropy

Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) is the leading organization advancing philanthropic investment, influence, and collective action for and with Latine communities across the U.S., Mexico, and the Americas. HIP works to transform philanthropy by influencing how resources are prioritized, invested, and distributed to address inequities facing Latine communities. Building on a powerful, 40-year legacy, HIP acts as a membership organization, a strategic partner influencing grantmaking and regranting, and a powerful advocate to address the structural inequity where less than 1% of philanthropic support reaches Latine communities. HIP’s ultimate mission is to drive systemic change that strategically increases the overall pool of resources directed toward Latine-led and serving organizations.

Position Summary: President

HIP seeks a bold, transformational, and community-centered President to lead the organization through an inflection point of renewal and stabilization and into its next chapter of systemic impact. The next leader will inherit a powerful 40-year legacy, strong financial stability, and a transnational network, serving as a compelling public voice for Latine communities while shaping the future direction, investment priorities, and accountability of philanthropy. The core opportunity is to solidify the organization’s ‘North Star,’ dramatically increase the pool of resources directed toward Latine-led and serving organizations, and unify staff and board around a clear and sustainable vision for HIP’s next chapter.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President serves as the primary visionary strategist, resilient advocate, and business leader of HIP, required to provide steady, confident leadership during this chapter of internal transformation and stabilization.

Location, Compensation and Benefits

This is a remote position; however, the CEO is expected to be highly engaged and visible with staff, members, affiliate associations, and partners nationwide, including regular travel (20%).

The salary range for this role is between $325,000 - $375,000 with benefits.
