Our client is looking for a skilled and self-sufficient Fabrication Welder to take ownership of the welding process from start to finish. In this hands-on role, you will be the expert responsible for transforming raw materials into precision-fabricated steel components. You'll leverage your MIG welding expertise to interpret blueprints, assemble complex structures, and deliver high-quality weldments that meet exacting customer standards. This is more than just a production job; it's a chance to be the driving force behind our product's quality and efficiency.


What You'll Do:

  • Build with Precision: Independently read and interpret blueprints and work orders to lay out, assemble, and MIG weld steel fabrications and assemblies from the ground up.
  • Master the Craft: Apply your deep knowledge of welding techniques, filler materials, and machine settings (amps, voltage) to produce strong, clean, and consistent welds on a variety of steel grades and alloys.
  • Ensure Quality from Start to Finish: Perform all necessary post-weld finishing, including grinding, sanding, deburring, and spatter removal, to ensure a flawless product ready for the final stages of production.
  • Be the Machine Expert: Take full responsibility for your workstation. You will set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment, proactively troubleshooting minor issues to keep production flowing smoothly.
  • Drive Improvement: Act as a key player in our continuous improvement culture. You are expected to identify opportunities to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and elevate the overall quality and efficiency of our fabrication process.
  • Champion Safety and Organization: Maintain a pristine, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and conducting daily equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and longevity.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • Proven Expertise: Strong proficiency in MIG welding, with a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex assemblies.
  • Blueprint Literacy: The ability to confidently read and understand technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications to fabricate parts accurately.
  • Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of weld setup parameters, wire/filler material applications, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment maintenance.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues, potential workflow disruptions, and equipment challenges.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and maneuvering steel components and standing for extended periods.
  • Commitment to Excellence: A meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to producing work of the highest caliber.
