The Materials Manager will lead our organization's material planning, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management activities. This position is key to achieving world-class operating performance. The role focuses on continually improving quality, delivery, and total cost of products and services to assure continued success in the marketplace.

Specific Duties

• Lead material planning activities to assure production of just-in-time material flow
• Lead and coordinate Supply Chain activities to achieve sustainable world-class performance (On-Time Delivery, Supplier Quality, and Inventory Turns)
• Serve as Supplier Development and Relationship Manager, implementing vendor qualification processes and monitoring new programs and performance metrics
• May be assigned special projects by senior leadership as workload permits

Required Skills / Experience / Education / Certification

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree (Technical degree preferred or BBA with technical work experience within the automotive industry)
• Demonstrated experience within the OEM automotive manufacturing environment desired
• Extensive experience in material planning/ERP software
• Program management skills and experience
• Experience with supplier continuous improvement development and implementation programs
