Production Supervisor

Position Overview:

This leadership role directs daily manufacturing operations, driving the evolution of a world-class production environment. The position involves developing and implementing lean manufacturing systems while leading a team to achieve excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.

Supervisory Functions:

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop front-line production personnel
  • Coordinate and direct team member schedules and operational assignments
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback
  • Manage employee relations in accordance with established organizational policies

Core Responsibilities:

  • Champion the transformation of manufacturing operations toward lean methodologies
  • Design and implement a comprehensive production system utilizing modern improvement tools
  • Sustain continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational performance
  • Demonstrate strategic planning capabilities with measurable qualitative and quantitative outcomes
  • Model organizational values while ensuring strategic objectives are understood and achieved by all team members
  • Foster team motivation and empowerment through effective leadership practices
  • Develop personnel capabilities to support future organizational growth and objectives
  • Uphold core company values in all operational decisions and interactions
  • Coordinate activities across departments to ensure seamless operational integration
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate production data to drive informed decision-making
  • Conduct regular product inspections to maintain quality standards and identify defects
  • Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, equipment issues, or skill gaps
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and organizational regulations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and procedures
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership in budget development and execution
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

  • Proficiency with business software applications

Educational Background:

  • Associate's degree in relevant field or equivalent industry experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity strongly preferred
