We’re recruiting an experienced Civil Engineer (PE) to help lead commercial site development from early feasibility through permitting and construction support. If you’re strong in grading/drainage, utilities, and stormwater solutions—and you like collaborating with project teams to keep designs practical, compliant, and buildable—this is a great opportunity to take ownership, mentor others, and drive real project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site due diligence for commercial developments, including feasibility reviews, constraints analysis, and utility/stormwater considerations.
• Coordinate permitting and entitlement support by working with local agencies and internal stakeholders to keep approvals on track.
• Manage and review work from outside civil consultants (plans, calculations, reports) to ensure scope, quality, and constructability meet project needs.
• Support project teams with civil risk management, value engineering ideas, and issue resolution from concept through closeout.
• Perform document control and technical communication: prepare project narratives, agency responses, meeting notes, and internal recommendations.
• Provide field coordination support as needed (site walks, constructability checks, resolving civil-related RFIs/field conflicts).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
• 5+ years supporting commercial site development or construction projects.
• PE license required.
• Working knowledge of site development, stormwater/drainage concepts, utilities, and permitting workflows.
• Strong coordination and writing skills (able to translate technical issues for non-technical teams).
• Proficiency with Civil 3D/CAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to mentor junior staff and improve team processes
