Sr. CNC Machine Operator
Position Overview:
This role involves the expert operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machinery in a manufacturing setting, responsible for producing precision components according to exact specifications. The position requires troubleshooting capabilities, quality assurance, and the ability to maintain equipment performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate advanced CNC machinery and perform complex assembly operations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with production equipment
- Execute equipment changeovers and tooling adjustments as required
- Monitor product quality and make precise adjustments to maintain specification compliance
- Identify and segregate non-conforming products according to quality protocols
- Adhere to established standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Facilitate effective communication between shift operators regarding operational status
- Maintain organized and clean work areas in compliance with facility standards
- Implement proper equipment shutdown and lockout/tagout procedures
- Collaborate with technical staff and engineering personnel as required
- Provide mentorship and training to new team members on operational procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven years manufacturing experience
- Fundamental literacy and mathematical capabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent educational credential
- Aptitude for acquiring new technical skills
- Advanced manual dexterity for precision equipment operation
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Standard manufacturing facility conditions with periodic elevated temperatures exceeding 90°F
- Regular handling of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment including safety eyewear, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear during equipment operation
