Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Position Overview:
This role provides essential technical support for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment across manufacturing environments, focusing on preventative maintenance and responsive repairs to ensure optimal functionality and minimize production disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to coordinate maintenance activities
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance inspections according to established protocols
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems for tracking and documentation
- Apply systematic troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions
- Verify equipment functionality post-repair and ensure work areas are clean and safe
- Champion safety protocols and promote safe work practices
- Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime
- Perform welding operations and metal fabrication tasks as needed
- Complete electrical work in compliance with applicable codes and maintain proper documentation
- Address all assigned maintenance requests through the established work order system
- Maintain flexibility for emergency call-ins, overtime assignments, and rotating shift schedules
Technical Qualifications:
- Demonstrated electrical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed work approach with minimal supervision requirements
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical equipment
- Associate degree in electrical technology, SCADA systems, or electromechanical engineering preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) during scheduled shifts
- Capacity to work in environments with elevated temperatures (90°F+) during seasonal conditions
- Capability to lift and move items weighing 50-70 pounds
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to mechanical hazards, dust, and high noise levels
- Physical capability for kneeling, crouching, bending, pulling, and upper body twisting movements
