We are seeking a versatile and driven Electrical Controls Engineer to join our dynamic product development team. This role is a unique blend of hardware and software engineering, focused on bringing cutting-edge products to life from concept to manufacturing. You will be a key player in designing and implementing the core electronic architecture and embedded intelligence that powers our solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver who thrives on collaborating with cross-functional teams to create robust, efficient, and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Architecture & Design: Lead the design and development of electronic systems, including creating detailed schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for new and next-generation products.
  • Embedded Software Development: Architect, write, and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded platforms using languages like C/C++. You will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle, from low-level drivers to application-level logic.
  • Cross-Functional System Integration: Serve as the electrical engineering liaison, working closely with mechanical, firmware, and application software teams to ensure seamless and reliable integration of all system components.
  • Manufacturing & Process Engineering: Design and build custom test fixtures, tooling, and automated test equipment to streamline production, improve quality assurance, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Act as a go-to expert for troubleshooting complex electrical and firmware issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
  • Product Lifecycle Support: Contribute to the entire product development process, from initial prototyping and evaluation through to sustaining engineering, ensuring performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Documentation & Project Management: Maintain comprehensive and organized engineering documentation, including schematics, design specs, and bill of materials (BOMs). Assist in defining project milestones and timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • External & Internal Collaboration: Engage with vendors to select components and resolve technical challenges, and provide expert support to internal manufacturing and quality teams as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing complex digital and analog circuits, including multi-layer PCB design and layout.
  • Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming for microcontrollers.
  • Experience with common communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
  • Familiarity with industry standards for safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to debugging hardware and software issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
