Mid-Level Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join our Cloud & Application Development team. You’ll spend most of your time building rich, responsive web applications in React and TypeScript across our core platform and internal portals, while also contributing to the Python services and AWS infrastructure behind them. This is a hands-on role for a developer who takes pride in clean, maintainable UI work and is comfortable owning features end to end — from interface design through API integration and deployment. Some of the applications you’ll work on support public-safety and law-enforcement systems.

What You’ll Do

• Build, improve, and maintain front-end web applications using React and TypeScript

• Work in a modern front-end toolchain — Vite, a Turborepo monorepo, Tailwind CSS, and Radix UI–based components

• Translate designs and requirements into responsive, accessible, well-structured user interfaces

• Integrate front ends with REST APIs using TanStack Query and Axios; build forms with React Hook Form and Yup

• Write and maintain front-end tests (Vitest, React Testing Library)

• Contribute to backend services and APIs (Python/FastAPI; NestJS on some portals)

• Work with MySQL schemas and queries to support application features

• Containerize and run services with Docker and Docker Compose

• Deploy and operate applications on AWS

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in GitLab

• Collaborate with QA, design, infrastructure, and offshore development teams on a predictable sprint cadence

• Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate in code review

What We’re Looking For

Front-End (primary)

• 3–5 years of professional development experience with a strong front-end emphasis

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript

• Hands-on experience building applications in React (function components, hooks, component architecture)

• Experience with a modern build tool such as Vite and component-driven styling (Tailwind CSS, headless UI primitives like Radix)

• Comfortable with client-side data fetching/state (e.g., TanStack Query), routing (React Router), and form handling (React Hook Form + validation)

• Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS, and responsive, accessible UI development

• Experience integrating front ends with REST APIs

Full-Stack (supporting)

• Working knowledge of Python, ideally with FastAPI (NestJS experience a plus)

• Familiarity with MySQL — schema design, queries, and performance basics

• Experience deploying or working with applications on AWS

• Comfortable with Docker / Docker Compose and Linux (Ubuntu)

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows (GitLab a plus)

• Good communication skills and the ability to work across a distributed team

Nice to Have

• Experience with monorepo tooling (Turborepo) and component/design systems (shadcn/ui-style patterns)

• Front-end testing experience (Vitest, React Testing Library)

• Internationalization (i18next) and PWA experience

• Authentication integration with Microsoft Entra ID / MSAL

• Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK

• Exposure to computer vision or ML pipelines (e.g., object detection, OCR)

• Background working with regulated or sensitive data environments

• Experience integrating with third-party or government data systems
