Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing commercial general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and exceptional client service. Due to continued growth and a robust pipeline of healthcare projects, they are seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is ideal for a Project Manager who already has several years of experience managing commercial construction projects but is still looking for professional growth and advancement opportunities within a highly respected organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, excellent client-facing communication, and experience managing projects in active healthcare environments.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction
  • Strong project financial management and scheduling experience
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities


Strongly Preferred

  • Healthcare construction experience
  • Experience working within active hospital facilities
  • Experience with medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, renovations, expansions, or equipment replacement projects
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and operational requirements

Highly Desired

  • AHCA experience
  • Experience coordinating projects requiring healthcare regulatory approvals and inspections

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Manage projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Lead project teams to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the life of each project.

Preconstruction & Project Start-Up

  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Establish project controls and documentation systems.

Procurement & Buyout

  • Coordinate subcontractor procurement and project buyout activities.
  • Develop scopes of work and subcontract agreements.
  • Manage purchasing and subcontractor compliance requirements.

Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Review subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
  • Prepare owner pay applications.
  • Manage change orders and contract modifications.
  • Maintain project profitability and cash flow.

Construction Administration

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and document control.
  • Maintain project records and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate information flow between office and field teams.

Project Closeout

  • Manage punch list completion and turnover activities.
  • Coordinate warranties, training, closeout documentation, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure permit closeout and final inspections are completed successfully.
  • Obtain Certificates of Occupancy and/or Completion.

Field Support

  • Visit active project sites regularly.
  • Support Superintendents with project execution.
  • Monitor quality control and safety compliance.
  • Ensure OSHA standards and company expectations are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Commercial construction project management experience required.
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • AHCA experience highly desired.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation & Location

  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and capabilities
  • Performance bonus potential
  • Benefits package available
