Ground-Up Commercial Construction

Palm Beach County, Florida

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus + Benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team on a high-profile ground-up construction project beginning in July.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly alongside one of the company's most experienced and successful Superintendents while helping lead the construction of a new private country club facility in Palm Beach County.

For the right individual, this role provides hands-on exposure to every phase of ground-up construction while creating a clear path toward future Superintendent and Project Management opportunities.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has solid construction experience but wants to accelerate their growth under the mentorship of an exceptional field leader.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations

  • Assist with daily jobsite management and coordination.
  • Support project scheduling and sequencing activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Help maintain project documentation and reporting.

Safety & Quality Control

  • Assist in enforcing OSHA and site safety requirements.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and inspections.
  • Monitor workmanship and quality standards.
  • Help ensure all work is performed according to plans and specifications.

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Assist with short-term look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities.
  • Help identify and resolve field conflicts.
  • Support project logistics and site organization.

Project Administration

  • Complete daily reports and project documentation.
  • Assist with Procore management and project tracking.
  • Support RFIs, punch lists, inspections, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate communication between the field and office teams.

Client & Team Relationships

  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
  • Support a positive project culture focused on teamwork and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Commercial construction experience required.
  • Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, or similar field leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and project activities.
  • Procore experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take initiative.

Compensation & Location

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and capabilities
  • Performance bonus opportunities
