Director of Inside Sales (Term Life Insurance)

We are currently seeking candidates for (2) Life Insurance Sales Director openings with one of our top Life Insurance clients. This is a growing Life Insurance carrier looking to continue its aggressive expansion in the Term Life Insurance and Final Expense markets nationally. Both positions will Lead Sales Manager(s) that have teams of licensed agents under them, so experience leading other Managers is needed.

We are looking for candidates that want to own the strategy and have drive the engine of this companies largest sales organization (Life Insurance). These roles are designed to put you in position to grow and expand sales, be responsible for the staffing, forecasting and projections, performance analytics and KPIs that drive sales growth, working with HR to develop best in class compensation plans designed to grow sales, creating and constantly experimenting and improving the playbooks, sales process and procedure, adding top talent to the team, and developing future leaders.  

Ideal candidates will have proven experience leading Life Insurance sales teams combined with experience in fast paced environments like Direct to Consumer Call Center, InsurTech, Start up type companies and cultures. Strong with Technology, Sales CRM’s, Data and Analytics.     


1 new sales Director will be focused on Traditional Term Life Insurance for “health and wealthy” individuals, higher end face amounts, typically in good health, low risk and 60 and under clientele. The other new sales Director will lead a Final Expense focused team where the face amounts are typically smaller, older age and higher risk clients.


Required experience for each is very similar with the product being the biggest difference:

-         8-10+ years experience leading high performing Life Insurance Sales teams

-         Inside sales experience is best (Direct to Consumer, Call Center, InsurTech)

-         Deep Term Life Insurance knowledge for Term team

-         Deep Final Expense Life Insurance knowledge for the Final Expense team  

-         Proven sales management and team management experience

-         Experience working in a fast paced, aggressive growth sales culture

-         Experience developing Agent compensation plans

-         Strong experience with Data and Analytics to drive decision making

-         Strong experience with KPI and performance metrics/analytics

-         Experience as a team builder, talent development

-         Ability to work well with other areas such as Marketing, Operations, HR and Product

-         Comfortable working in a technology focused and data driven environment

Both positions are full-time permanent roles offering outstanding compensation with generous base salary plus variable override, industry leading medical and retirement benefits, great PTO, work life balance and room to grow professionally.


These are both fully remote with little travel
