About the Opportunity
Questpro has partnered with a leading insurance and risk management organization to identify a skilled Facility Risk Manager. This position plays a key role in supporting the company’s risk management strategy by identifying, analyzing, and reducing professional and general liability exposures across healthcare facilities — including long-term care centers, hospitals, and other medical organizations.
The Facility Risk Manager will collaborate closely with senior risk leaders to conduct on-site facility visits, analyze loss trends, develop education programs, and build strong client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional with a nursing background who is passionate about patient safety, compliance, and risk mitigation in the healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site and virtual risk assessments of healthcare facilities to identify potential exposures and recommend mitigation strategies.
Analyze claims and loss data for long-term care, hospital, and other facility clients to identify patterns and develop proactive risk reduction initiatives.
Provide risk management consultation to clients by phone, virtually, or in person.
Develop and deliver live and online risk management education programs for healthcare facility staff.
Evaluate facility loss data and compare it across the book of business to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on facility risk management practices, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with client facilities through regular on-site visits and ongoing engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams in underwriting and marketing to provide insight into client risk profiles and support retention efforts.
Prepare and present reports on client risk profiles to internal committees and leadership.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, audit requirements, and emerging risks in the healthcare industry.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
Active RN license.
6–8 years of nursing experience, including 5 years in healthcare facility management or quality improvement.
Proven ability to conduct data analysis and interpret risk trends.
Strong presentation skills with experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
Experience collaborating with physicians, healthcare administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel up to 50% (regional travel with occasional overnight stays).
Continuous access to reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
Preferred:
Current Nursing Facility Administrator License.
ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and/or CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) certification.
5+ years of experience in healthcare facility administration.
Prior insurance or medical malpractice experience.
Master’s degree in healthcare administration, risk management, or related field.
