Immediate Job Opening – Senior Staff Accountant

We are excited to be working with a well regarded Financial Services company based in Dallas, TX who is looking to hire an experienced Accountant/Senior Accountant. This is a (general) accounting role that will be hands on and wear multiple hats, so someone with broad and general Accounting experience would be ideal.

This is a full-time, permanent position working with a team of 4 in a regulated industry, so any experience working for regulated companies like Insurance, Banking, Mortgage, Healthcare, Finance, Transportation, Manufacturing, etc. are all good.

You will work as a part of the Accounting team in various capacities handling duties such as: Variance analysis, reconciliations, monthly and quarterly closes, journal entries, filings, income tax prep, financial reporting and financial statements, assisting with external audits, and budgeting.  

This position will require:

-         Bachelors degree in Accounting required

-         2-3+ years of hands on General GAAP Accounting experience is required

-         CPA or working towards CPA is a plus but not required

-         Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are required (Pivot, V lookup)

-         Strong understanding of the general rules and standards of US GAAP Accounting

-         Any hands on experience with (external audit) is a big plus      

-         Experience with general accounting software (Oracle a plus but not required)

-         Ability to work on a team and help with special project work

-         Self-motivated, trustworthy and dependable personality

-         Experience working in a regulated industry is ideal

This is a hybrid position with will be in office on Tues, Weds and Thursday and work from home on Monday and Friday. Office location is Dallas, Texas near Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.  

Our client is offering a generous base salary, annual bonus, paid holidays, PTO, medical benefits, matching 401k, great team to work with and opportunity for advancement. Salary range is 80-95k.
