Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loss Entry Specialist to support our growing claims operation. Due to a significant increase in new claim volume, this individual will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering new loss information into the claims system and providing administrative support to the claims team.
The ideal candidate will have prior loss entry experience within an insurance environment. Candidates with strong Claims Support, Claims Assistant, FNOL, or claims administrative experience may also be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter new loss and claim information into the claims management system.
- Review incoming loss information for completeness and accuracy.
- Enter claimant, insured, loss, coverage, and incident information according to established procedures.
- Set up new claims and ensure all required information is properly documented.
- Review documentation and identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Assist with assigning or routing claims to the appropriate adjuster or department.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files and records.
- Assist claims adjusters and management with administrative and data-entry needs.
- Handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
- Follow established claims procedures, workflows, and quality standards.
- Perform other claims support and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior loss entry experience in an insurance claims environment strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in Claims Support, Claims Assistant, FNOL, Claims Intake, or Claims Administration will also be considered.
- Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
- Strong data-entry and computer skills.
- Experience working in a claims management system is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential claim information professionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who has previously handled loss/claim entry and understands the importance of getting a new claim set up correctly from the beginning. Someone who has worked in a claims support or FNOL environment and is comfortable with high-volume data entry would also be a strong fit.
Insurance claims experience is highly preferred over general administrative or data-entry experience.
