About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to serve as a key point of contact for their clients on all matters related to employee benefits administration. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who thrives on staying busy, juggling multiple accounts, and solving problems independently. The ideal candidate combines strong technical benefits knowledge with a professional, client-facing presence and a comfort level with modern technology, including AI-powered tools that help streamline day-to-day work.

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while staying connected to a collaborative, client-focused team. Eastern time zone hours are preferred; candidates in other time zones are welcome as long as they can work Eastern hours.

This is a newly created headcount managing a mixed book of fully-insured, self-funded, level-funded, and PEO clients. Specific book assignment will be finalized upon hire.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a book of client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day benefits administration questions and issues
  • Administer pre-tax benefit programs, including Section 125 (cafeteria) plans, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
  • Oversee COBRA administration, including notices, elections, and compliance timelines
  • Support open enrollment, new hire onboarding, and qualifying life event processing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated benefits issues on behalf of clients and their employees
  • Maintain accurate records across benefits administration platforms and carrier systems
  • Proactively identify process improvements and incorporate AI and other digital tools into daily workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What They're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with employee benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of pre-tax benefits (Section 125/cafeteria plans, FSA, HSA)
  • Experience with COBRA administration
  • Experience with Employee Navigator, Summit, and Zywave a plus
  • Life & Health license preferred

Compensation

Base salary range: $65,000–$75,000/year
