Senior Commercial Claims Representative / General Adjuster

Our client, a respected leader in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Claims Representative / General Adjuster to join their elite claims team. In this role, you will take full ownership of large-scale, complex commercial property losses, business interruption/loss of income claims, and multi-carrier programs. You will be responsible for advanced coverage analysis, on-site structural damage inspections, and authoring comprehensive, defensible reports within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and Reinsurance framework.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Complex Loss Adjustment: End-to-end management of large, high-exposure commercial and commercial-residential property claims.
  • On-Site Inspections: Frequent travel to loss sites to personally inspect structural damage, evaluate property losses, and accurately document conditions.
  • Advanced Coverage Analysis: Review and interpret complex commercial policies, endorsements, and multi-layered reinsurance programs.
  • Expert Estimating: Utilize Xactimate to write accurate, highly detailed, and professional repair estimates for large commercial structures.
  • Financial Evaluation: Calculate complex business interruption and loss of income exposures.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Author detailed, technical reports and maintain immaculate, legally defensible claim documentation in strict accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethical guidelines.

Mandatory Qualifications (Strictly Enforced):

  • Experience: 5+ years of verified experience directly adjusting large, complex commercial and commercial-residential property claims. (General residential or low-level commercial experience does not qualify.)
  • Technical Estimating: Expert-level Xactimate proficiency is mandatory — must be able to independently scope and estimate large, complex losses.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge of Third-Party Administrator (TPA) workflows and Reinsurance programs.
  • Licensing: Active Resident or Non-Resident Adjuster License, with the ability to quickly obtain reciprocal licensing as required.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently in a self-managed, high-stakes environment.
  • Communication & Technology: Elite verbal and written communication skills for executive-level reporting, strong analytical and numerical skills, and expert-level proficiency with Outlook and claims management databases.
  • Logistics: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and active automobile insurance for required field travel.
