Senior Commercial Claims Representative / General Adjuster
Our client, a respected leader in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Claims Representative / General Adjuster to join their elite claims team. In this role, you will take full ownership of large-scale, complex commercial property losses, business interruption/loss of income claims, and multi-carrier programs. You will be responsible for advanced coverage analysis, on-site structural damage inspections, and authoring comprehensive, defensible reports within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and Reinsurance framework.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Complex Loss Adjustment: End-to-end management of large, high-exposure commercial and commercial-residential property claims.
- On-Site Inspections: Frequent travel to loss sites to personally inspect structural damage, evaluate property losses, and accurately document conditions.
- Advanced Coverage Analysis: Review and interpret complex commercial policies, endorsements, and multi-layered reinsurance programs.
- Expert Estimating: Utilize Xactimate to write accurate, highly detailed, and professional repair estimates for large commercial structures.
- Financial Evaluation: Calculate complex business interruption and loss of income exposures.
- Reporting & Compliance: Author detailed, technical reports and maintain immaculate, legally defensible claim documentation in strict accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethical guidelines.
Mandatory Qualifications (Strictly Enforced):
- Experience: 5+ years of verified experience directly adjusting large, complex commercial and commercial-residential property claims. (General residential or low-level commercial experience does not qualify.)
- Technical Estimating: Expert-level Xactimate proficiency is mandatory — must be able to independently scope and estimate large, complex losses.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge of Third-Party Administrator (TPA) workflows and Reinsurance programs.
- Licensing: Active Resident or Non-Resident Adjuster License, with the ability to quickly obtain reciprocal licensing as required.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently in a self-managed, high-stakes environment.
- Communication & Technology: Elite verbal and written communication skills for executive-level reporting, strong analytical and numerical skills, and expert-level proficiency with Outlook and claims management databases.
- Logistics: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and active automobile insurance for required field travel.
