NOW HIRING | Senior Accountant | Specialty MGA/MGU

What You'll Own

• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members, including review and sign-off on their work
• Prepare and review journal entries; monitor account activity to ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial records
• Own general ledger reconciliations end-to-end — research, resolve, and document with precision
• Design, implement, and maintain accounting workflow processes and internal controls
• Identify and recommend control improvements as products, regulations, or corporate policies evolve
• Prepare sophisticated financial analyses, variance reports, and management commentary that tell the real story behind the numbers
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of management, regulatory, and financial reporting
• Lead coordination for internal and external audits; partner with Accounting Policy on regulatory requests
• Support development of economic models and assist in building new accounting procedures as the business scales

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
• Ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA (or actively pursuing)
• Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• 5+ years of financial services accounting experience
• P&C insurance or MGA/MGU background strongly preferred
