Underwriter – Small Business Insurance Remote (occasional travel for company meetings and industry events)

Questpro has a client — a program administrator modernizing small business insurance through technology-driven underwriting — looking to add a service-oriented Underwriter to their growing team. This role evaluates risk across admitted and non-admitted commercial multi-peril products in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, working closely with sales and service teams to support agency partners.

Job Details:

• Analyze and approve underwriting referrals submitted through the online platform
• Communicate decisions to agents in a way that drives repeat business
• Process transactions such as amendments, audits, and billing reinstatements
• Maintain thorough file documentation to meet compliance and capacity partner standards
• Collaborate across sales, service, and product teams to improve underwriting processes and support the company's continued growth

Target Experience

• 3+ years of SME underwriting experience, including hospitality/restaurant business
• Comfort moving fast and working directly with independent agents
• Strong organization, prioritization, and desk management skills
• Service-first, detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
