Remote Uninsured Subrogation Collector (Temporary)
Location: 100% Remote
Pay: $20–$23/hour DOE + future commission incentive opportunities
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (30-minute paid lunch + 15-minute paid break)
We are seeking an experienced Uninsured Subrogation Collector to join our fast-paced claims team on a temporary basis. This position is ideal for someone with a strong collections background in the insurance industry who is comfortable handling a high-volume workload, negotiating payment arrangements, and communicating professionally with debtors and third parties.
Home Office Requirements
- Personal computer with reliable high-speed internet.
- Printer and shredder available and ready for use.
- Active Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel installed on your computer.
Responsibilities
- Collect outstanding uninsured subrogation balances through phone calls, email, and written correspondence.
- Negotiate payment plans and lump-sum settlements with debtors.
- Review claim files to identify key information and determine the appropriate collection strategy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and upload supporting documents into the claims system.
- Manage Outlook email and system diary to ensure timely follow-up on all accounts.
- Contact outside parties to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Work a high-volume diary, completing a minimum of 40 reminders/tasks per day.
- Maintain detailed notes and provide accurate updates on collection activity.
- Meet productivity and quality expectations in a fast-paced, daily claims environment.
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of collections experience in insurance subrogation or a closely related insurance collections role (required).
- Experience negotiating payment plans and lump-sum settlements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with heavy phone and email communication throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documents, identify relevant information, and accurately upload files.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Competent typing and computer navigation skills
