Contract Senior Claims Examiner – Liability

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 1–3+ months

Pay: $34.00–$36.59/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Approximately 40 hours/week

Time Zone: Central

Jurisdictions: All U.S. states except NY, AK & HI

We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Examiner – Liability to handle a diverse caseload of Auto and General Liability (GL) bodily injury claims. This role will be responsible for investigating claims, evaluating liability and damages, handling demands, negotiating settlements, and bringing claims to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Auto and General Liability bodily injury claims from investigation through resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and exposure.
• Review and respond to bodily injury demands and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves.
• Identify potential litigation, coverage issues, and fraud concerns.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Communicate effectively with claimants, attorneys, insureds, vendors, and other parties.
• Manage claims across multiple jurisdictions while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of claims adjusting/examining experience, preferably in Auto and/or General Liability.
• Strong bodily injury claims experience.
• Experience with investigations, demands, negotiations, and settlements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently evaluate claim exposure and make sound claim decisions.
• Multi-state claims experience preferred.
