Commercial Lines Account Manager – Large/Layered Property

Our client, an independent insurance agency in Plano, TX, has an urgent need for two Commercial Lines Account Managers with strong experience in large, layered property accounts.

Priority Experience

  • Placing multi-layered excess (XS) property
  • Layered excess liability, including buydowns
  • Comfortable working both producer-hands-off books and producer-hands-on books

Work Arrangement

  • Primarily remote/work-from-home
  • Required in-office attendance for team meetings
  • Mandatory training: minimum 2 weeks, on-site in the Plano office
  • 15 days PTO, available immediately upon start date

  • Knowledgeable with regards to insurance terminology, including coverages and their application

  • Proficient in using major carrier online platforms for rating, quoting, binding, processing endorsements etc.

Required

  • Active Texas P&C license
  • Access to internet
  • Access to reliable means of transportation
  • Appropriate working space in home
  • Cell phone and ability to work inside phone applications used by the agency
  • Ability to commute to the Plano office for required department meetings, new hire training, employee review, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • New & Renewal Marketing
  • Bonds - Commercial Lines
  • Invoice New & Renewal Policies
  • Start Renewal Action Plan
  • Obtain Renewal Updates from Client
  • Prepare Strategy Worksheets, as needed
  • Correspond with Producer and Underwriters on Renewals & New Business
  • New & Renewal Submissions
  • Analyze quotes, compare forms & coverage, identify rounding opportunities
  • Prepare Finance Agreements
  • Prepare Proposals
  • Collect all forms & additional information needed for binding (supplements, applications, TRIA, etc.)
  • Negotiate premiums, coverages, and commissions with carriers on Renewals & New Business
  • Renew policies in AMS (Agency Management System)
  • Answer coverage questions
  • All day-to-day account service & client inquiries
  • Basic Claims Processing skills
  • Prepare Auto ID Cards – renewal, new and during policy term
  • Process All Audits – Final & Interim - Commercial Lines
  • Direct and Agency Bill Endorsements/Invoicing
  • Process Cancellations
  • Conditional Non-renewal Notices
  • Certificates – Renewals & during policy term - Commercial Lines
  • Check Policies
  • Order Loss Runs and prepare exhibits for renewals
  • Endorsement Requests
  • Attend new hire training in its entirety (2 weeks, on-site)
  • Attend all required department meetings
  • Act as adequate backup for your team and its members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and files
  • Maintain appropriate licensing and required CE hours
