Sr. Workers Compensation Adjuster

As a senior workers’ compensation adjuster you will deliver proactive, high-quality claim outcomes for mid-sized construction, manufacturing, and healthcare businesses—protecting people and businesses while advancing our One Amerisure service model and A (Excellent) A.M. Best rating.

Performance Objectives

  • Investigate losses, confirm coverage and compensability, and execute resolution strategies that close complex claims fairly and cost-effectively.
  • Establish and maintain accurate reserves that reflect true financial exposure; communicate rationale promptly to insureds and agents.
  • Partner with medical providers, injured workers, and policyholders to achieve safe, timely return-to-work outcomes.
  • Manage litigated files by directing counsel, attending mediations or hearings as needed, and negotiating settlements that control allocated loss adjustment expense.
  • Analyze claim trends with agents and insureds, then implement risk-mitigation and education actions that reduce future losses.
  • Mentor less-experienced handlers and contribute to file-quality and portfolio-closing initiatives that meet department goals.

Environment & Resources

You will join a collaborative Claims team supporting national commercial accounts, reporting to Claims leadership. You will use established claims systems, and vendor networks.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years handling medium- to high-severity workers’ compensation claims.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with agents, policyholders, and injured workers.
  • Ability to obtain required state licenses; proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims platforms.
