GL Property Damage & Subrogation Adjuster

We are seeking an experienced General Liability Property Damage (GL PD) Adjuster with strong subrogation experience to handle both defense and recovery claims involving shareholders/unit owners, tenants, contractors, property managers, and insurance carriers.

What You'll Do

• Handle GL property damage claims from investigation through resolution.
• Investigate claims involving water/plumbing losses, fire, smoke, mold, and repeated or continuous exposure.
• Evaluate liability, causation, damages, leases, contracts, and responsibility provisions.
• Handle claims involving tenant improvements (TIB), personal property, and unit-owner responsibilities.
• Defend the client against third-party property damage claims and negotiate appropriate resolutions.
• Investigate and pursue subrogation/recovery against unit owners, contractors, apartment lessees, vendors, and other responsible parties.
• Review and respond to recovery demands from personal insurance carriers.
• Prepare subrogation demands and negotiate directly with carriers, attorneys, and responsible parties.
• Coordinate with property claims teams and counsel on complex or litigated matters.
• Maintain accurate claim files, evaluations, reserves, and documentation.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of General Liability claims experience, with a strong GL PD background.
• Experience handling property damage subrogation/recovery claims.
• Strong understanding of liability, negligence, causation, and damages.
• Experience with water damage, plumbing, fire/smoke, mold, or continuous exposure claims.
• Ability to interpret leases, contracts, and governing documents.
• Strong investigation, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working with carriers, attorneys, contractors, property managers, and unit owners.
• Adjuster license(s) as required.

Ideal candidates will have experience with condominiums, cooperatives, apartment communities, HOAs, or other multi-unit residential properties and be comfortable working both sides of the claim - defending GL PD allegations and pursuing recovery when another party is responsible.
