About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Liability Adjuster to manage a complex caseload of New York General Liability claims from investigation through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong New York liability experience, a solid understanding of NY Labor Law, and the ability to independently evaluate exposure, manage litigation, and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities

• Handle New York General Liability claims from inception through resolution.
• Investigate liability, evaluate damages, establish reserves, and develop claim strategies.
• Manage litigated and non-litigated claims and work with defense counsel.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve claims within appropriate authority.
• Handle premises, construction, contractor, and general liability exposures.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and communicate with insureds, attorneys, brokers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of Liability Claims experience.
• Strong New York General Liability background.
• Knowledge of New York Labor Law required.
• Active New York Adjuster License required.
• Experience with premises liability, slip-and-falls, construction/contractor claims, building/condo/co-op liability, and general accidents.
• Strong investigation, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid preferred; flexibility available. Initial training will be onsite for several weeks.
