Commercial Lines Account Manager

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage a portfolio of clients and develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders

Conduct regular client meetings to review insurance coverage, identify risks, and provide proactive solutions

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner

Prepare and present new business proposals and presentations to clients

Collaborate with clients and insurance carriers to negotiate and place insurance policies

Work closely with the agency's sales team to identify potential clients and opportunities

Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes

Works directly with Company clients to assure the highest level of customer service for all aspects of our products giving clients what they need in a timely fashion and adhering to our service standards

Manages incoming submissions for marketing to insurers for new business and renewals

Assist Producer(s) with production of quotes and presentations as needed

Produces applications, binders, certificates of insurance, Auto ID cards, , and endorsements as directed.

Reviews Policies for accuracy and distribution to clients

Assure that files are properly organized, recorded, and filed.

Assists with internal policies and procedure, efficiencies and implementing new processes and procedures.

Works with Accounting Department on all aspects of billing

Experience and Skills:

P & C insurance license preferred

Will need to have and demonstrate very strong follow up, written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills

Working knowledge of insurance agency operations

Understanding of insurance coverages and policy language

College degree and insurance designation(s)

Commitment to highest level of customer service

Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize tasks and activities and have excellent time management skills



Ability to resolve challenges for the Company producer as well as for the client

Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills

Ability to use automated systems and Microsoft Office products- in particular Excel
