About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Client Manager – Commercial P&C Accounts to join their growing team. This position works closely with Producers, Client Advocates, Client Executives, Senior Client Managers, and other account team members to deliver exceptional service throughout the insurance renewal and policy period.

The Client Manager will manage an assigned book of commercial Property & Casualty business, with a significant focus on complex accounts. This is a client-facing position requiring strong commercial insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, service-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone and email.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client and account documentation.
  • Manage workflow related to applications, policy changes, renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
  • Process policy changes through carrier websites and email, and follow up with carriers to ensure timely completion.
  • Take ownership of client concerns and follow through until successful resolution.
  • Review client exposures, loss experience, current coverage, and insurance needs to identify potential gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage the renewal process for assigned accounts.
  • Remarket accounts when appropriate and present alternative coverage options to clients.
  • Assist with new business opportunities and the retention of existing accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products and services.
  • Coordinate with Producers and other members of the account team to ensure seamless client service delivery.
  • Follow established internal procedures and service standards.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing commercial insurance knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty insurance.
  • Excellent client service and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assess client insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Professional, organized, detail-oriented, and highly responsive.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve client issues effectively.
  • Goal-oriented, motivated, and resourceful.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts and deadlines.

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent insurance experience will be considered.
  • Active Property & Casualty broker/insurance license required.
  • Insurance designation preferred.

Technology Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working with agency management systems; Sagitta experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with carrier websites and other insurance technology platforms.
