Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Burlingame, California
Job Type: Per Diem / Part-Time
Work Setting: Outpatient Imaging
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, as needed for vacation coverage and sick call coverage
Pay: $89.70 to $97.66 per hour, based on level, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus
Overview
A healthcare organization in the Burlingame area is seeking a Per Diem Mammography Technologist to support a busy outpatient imaging team. This opportunity is ideal for a technologist who is confident in both screening and diagnostic mammography and values high clinical standards, strong collaboration, and schedule flexibility.
This role includes weekday coverage for planned absences and call-outs, with the opportunity to work in a patient-focused imaging environment that emphasizes quality, compliance, and excellent care delivery.
Responsibilities
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams
Produce high-quality images that meet ACR standards
Support patient flow and coordinate care with providers and other departments
Maintain quality control records and assist with routine equipment testing and maintenance
Work within radiology systems and imaging workflow platforms
Participate in department performance improvement activities
Assist with training and support of students and new team members when needed
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA approved school
ARRT Mammography Certification
Current CRT Radiology License
Current CRT Mammography License
Current BLS Basic Life Support certification
At least 3 years of mammography experience
Proof of at least 40 documented hours of mammography-specific training, if applicable
Proof of at least 200 mammography exams completed in the most recent 24-month period
At least 15 Mammography CEUs completed in the most recent 36-month period
Proof of MQSA-approved Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training
Ability to work variable hours and support additional locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
More than 5 years of mammography experience for higher-level consideration
Experience with diagnostic workflows in a fast-paced imaging setting
Experience mentoring students or onboarding new hires

Strong patient care and communication skills
Attention to image quality and compliance standards
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and coverage needs
Comfort working across imaging systems and clinical teams
