Location: Humble, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time, Days

Work Setting: On-Site Imaging Services

Schedule: 5x8s, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, plus every 4th Saturday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

 

Overview

Avento Health has partnered with a healthcare organization seeking a Lead Mammography Technologist for a full-time day position in Humble, Texas. This role is ideal for an experienced mammography professional who brings strong clinical judgment, leadership presence, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

This position serves as both a clinical expert and a lead resource within Imaging Services, helping coordinate daily operations, support quality outcomes, and ensure an excellent patient experience across the department.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental standards and quality expectations.
  • Serve as a lead technologist and clinical resource for staff within the imaging department.
  • Support daily workflow, staffing coordination, and efficient use of departmental resources.
  • Help maintain high standards for patient care, safety, service, and image quality.
  • Apply evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgment in complex patient care situations.
  • Promote accountability, risk reduction, and process improvement across the department.
  • Collaborate effectively with leaders, technologists, and other clinical teams.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as an MRT.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT (ARRT-M).
  • Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support certification.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory setting.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior lead or senior-level imaging experience.
  • Experience supporting department operations, quality initiatives, and staff accountability.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
