Location: Munster, Indiana (30 minutes from Downtown Chicago)

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:4 Call Rotation

Relocation Assistance: Available

About the Opportunity

Avento Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Colon & Rectal Surgeon for a hospital-employed opportunity in the Chicagoland area.

The position is based at a 400-bed regional hospital located in Munster, Indiana — a thriving community just minutes from Chicago that provides easy access to world-class restaurants, cultural attractions, and lakeshore living.


Position Highlights

  • Hospital-employed model with stable long-term structure
  • Established colorectal service line with ongoing growth
  • 1:4 call rotation shared with a collegial team of general and colorectal surgeons
  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient practice with access to modern surgical suites
  • Includes participation in general surgery cases and call coverage
  • EPIC EMR (HIMSS Stage VII – top 5% of hospitals nationwide)
  • Dedicated support staff including nurse practitioners in both inpatient and outpatient settings


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Colon & Rectal Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Indiana
  • Strong team orientation and patient-centered clinical approach
