About the Opportunity

Avento Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join a well-established, hospital-affiliated practice located in Northwest Indiana — just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago.

This position offers a rewarding balance of outpatient and limited inpatient psychiatry within a collaborative, community-focused organization. The role includes robust clinical support, loan repayment eligibility through the HRSA Workforce Program, and the chance to make a lasting impact serving diverse patient populations in an FQHC-look-alike health network.

Position Highlights

• Primarily outpatient psychiatry with limited weekend/holiday inpatient rounding (1:8 or better)
• Hospital-affiliated group practice offering mentorship and stability
• EPIC EMR system (HIMSS Stage VII – top 5% of hospitals nationally)
• Interdisciplinary behavioral health team supporting continuity of care
• HRSA Workforce Loan Repayment eligibility
• Located in Lake County, Indiana, within commuting distance of Chicago
• Strong focus on quality improvement and community mental health outreach

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure
• Passion for delivering equitable, patient-centered mental healthcare
