Location: Houston, TX 77030

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (40 hours per week)

Work Setting: On-site, Hospital Imaging Department


About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable MRI Technologist to join a growing medical imaging team in Houston. In this role, you'll perform advanced MRI procedures that help physicians diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of organs, tissues, and body systems.
  • Prepare and position patients for scans while ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast materials when required and follow all safety and dosage protocols.
  • Verify patient information, enter accurate data, and maintain records in imaging systems.
  • Inspect, calibrate, and perform quality checks on MRI equipment regularly.
  • Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, radiation safety standards, and infection control practices.
  • Support department goals, provide mentorship when needed, and pursue continuing education to stay current with MRI technology advancements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current MRI Technologist certification from one of the following:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT – MR) , or
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) .
  • Current license or temporary license issued by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) .
  • BLS or ACLS certification (Basic or Advanced Life Support).


Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members.
  • Committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Able to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
  • Physically capable of assisting and positioning patients when needed.
