Senior Mammography Technologist – Full-Time, Day Shift


Location: The Woodlands, Texas

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Shift: Day Shift | 4x10 schedule (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday–Friday with one Saturday per month (clinic closes early)


About the Opportunity

Avento Health is recruiting a Senior Mammography Technologist for a well-established, newly renovated breast imaging center located in The Woodlands, TX. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity for an experienced mammography professional seeking a stable schedule, modern equipment, and a collaborative clinical environment.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Graduate of an approved Mammography Technology program

Minimum of 4 years of prior mammography experience

Current Texas Medical Board MRT license (or temporary license)

ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT-R)

ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT-M)

Current Basic or Advanced Life Support certification


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with scheduling or workflow coordination

Experience with quality assurance processes and accreditation preparation, including Joint Commission reviews


Key Responsibilities

Perform mammography imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and radiation safety standards

Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety

Select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images

Enter, monitor, and maintain accurate patient data

Perform routine quality assurance checks on mammography equipment

Assist with accreditation processes, including ACR applications and renewals, as needed

Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or patient incidents to leadership

Participate in departmental call coverage as required

Support patient, staff, and visitor safety while adhering to all departmental policies and procedures

Mentor and serve as a resource for less experienced technologists

Maintain required continuing education and professional competencies

Perform other duties as assigned


Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and assist patients as required to safely perform imaging procedures

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements associated with imaging exams
