About the Opportunity

Avento Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a full-time opportunity in Hobart, Indiana, within the Greater Chicagoland area.

This role offers an excellent blend of inpatient and outpatient practice in a collegial, well-established GI group that includes four experienced physicians and advanced practice provider support. You'll be joining a respected not-for-profit health system with a strong reputation for collaboration, quality, and growth.

Located just 45 minutes from Chicago, this position combines a dynamic professional environment with easy access to urban and suburban amenities.

Position Highlights

• Hospital-affiliated position within a stable, regional healthcare system
• Inpatient and outpatient mix with a well-balanced daily schedule
• Join an experienced GI team of 4 physicians and nurse practitioner support
• Average volume: 20–30 clinic patients/day, 10–15 hospital patients/day
• 1:7 call rotation shared among the group
• EPIC EMR (HIMSS Stage VII – top 5% nationally)
• Advanced endoscopic facilities with strong anesthesia and nursing support
• Supportive administrative environment encouraging program development

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure
• Strong commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
