Clinical Psychologist (On-Site, Full-Time)

About the Opportunity

Avento Health is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to hire a Clinical Psychologist to join its growing behavioral-health team in Watonga, OK. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to provide mental-health services in a structured and collaborative clinical setting.

You'll work directly with patients, nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers to deliver individualized care plans, conduct assessments, and promote patient wellness through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including clinical interviews and risk assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Provide therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health counseling for patients experiencing acute or chronic mental-health issues.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and medical staff to ensure integrated care.
  • Participate in team meetings and case consultations to support continuity and quality of care.
  • Make regular clinical rounds in secure or confined settings to assess patient adjustment and treatment response.
  • Document clinical findings, progress notes, and treatment outcomes according to professional and regulatory standards.


Qualifications

  • Active psychologist license in the state of Oklahoma or eligibility to obtain one before hire.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of post-doctoral clinical experience (school psychology experience does not qualify).
  • Ability and willingness to work fully on-site in Watonga, OK.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
