Job Title: Lead Group Facilitator (1099 Independent Contractor) | PHP/IOP Groups

Location: Delray Beach, FL (On-site)

Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (No W2 option)

Compensation: $55,000–$60,000/year (DOE)

Schedule: Approximately 32 hours/week | Monday–Friday within program hours (8:30/8:45 AM–3:00 PM)


About the Role

Avento Health (recruiting agency) is partnering with an established behavioral health treatment provider to hire a Lead Group Facilitator. This role supports a structured PHP/IOP program serving adult clients with substance use disorders, process addictions, co-occurring mental health concerns, and trauma-related presentations.

You’ll facilitate clinically driven groups, manage group scheduling, and ensure accurate, compliant documentation. This is a great fit for someone who is organized, comfortable leading groups in a structured setting, and able to maintain strong clinical boundaries.


Program Notes (Population & Structure)

Some clients may be court-ordered. The program maintains a strict no-touch policy and clear behavioral expectations to support safety and boundaries for both staff and clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate PHP/IOP groups (typically 2 hours per group) using evidence-informed, structured curricula
  • Provide approximately 1–3 hours/day of group facilitation, plus time allocated for scheduling and documentation
  • Coordinate and manage group schedules and day-to-day group operations
  • Complete timely, accurate, compliant documentation for all group sessions
  • Use Sunwave EMR for documentation and scheduling
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to support treatment planning and continuity of care
  • Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards and program policies
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive care appropriate to the population served


Required Credentials

  • C.A.C. (Certified Addiction Counselor) OR C.A.P. (Certified Addiction Professional) OR M.C.A.P. (Master’s Certified Addiction Professional)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a helping profession (preferred); Master’s degree is a plus


Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of SUD, co-occurring mental health concerns, and process addictions
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups in structured treatment settings (PHP/IOP strongly preferred)
  • Comfortable applying a range of evidence-informed group modalities (psychoeducation, process groups, skills-based groups)
  • Trauma-informed approach and willingness to build trauma competency if needed
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation; Sunwave experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and clinical writing/documentation skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Delray Beach, FL during program hours
